BackNine Integration with Singular By Patrina

Introduction

Singular by Patrina is a unified CRM and compliance platform designed specifically for financial advisors, RIAs, and broker–dealers. It seamlessly integrates client relationship management with robust compliance and workflow automation. The purpose of this article is to go over implementing the BackNine integration to your Singular account.

Setting Up Integration

Webhook information must first be retrieved for BackNine integration. Click Integrations on the left hand navigation, and click on BackNine. Look for and copy out the information shown below:

  • eApp (Quote & Apply) Desired Endpoint
  • Case Desired Endpoint

Once the above is received, the next step is to go through configuring BackNine with the copied information.

Steps for Configuring in BackNine

Sign into your BackNine account on the BackNine platform: Steps for Configuring in BackNine

Once signed in, click your name in the upper right corner and select Settings: Settings

On the left-hand side, click Developer Settings:

In the Developer Settings page enter the eApp and Case Desired Endpoint information in their respective fields by clicking the field: API

Click Save.

Click the eye icon to retrieve and copy the following information within the Developer Settings page:

  • API Key
  • eApp Authentication Key
  • Case Authentication Key

Click Back to BOSS:

Copy and save the value for NPN: Get NPN

This completes the first step for setting up BackNine integration through Singular. Please go to the next section, Steps for Configuring BackNine in Sigular, to proceed with the remaining steps.

Steps for Configuring BackNine in Singular

The following information is needed to complete adding BackNine integration in Singular:

  • NPN
  • API Key
  • eApp Authentication Key
  • Case Authentication Key

If you do not have this information, please follow the steps in section Steps for Configuring in BackNine.

Log into Singular and click on Integration using the left-hand navigation:

Under the Available Integrations tab, click the option for BackNine BackNine Integration

This will open a new window. Enter the required information and click Save: BackNine Integration

After clicking Save, BackNine integration will be activated in Singular.

Using BackNine in Singular

Once BackNine is integrated for your account, there will be an option in Singular to create an insurance quote for an existing Singular account. The button will appear in the Account Details section:

Click the BackNine – Quote and Apply button to begin setting up an insurance quote for the account. Clicking the button will open a new window asking to confirm who is to be setup with an insurance quote. The contact is pulled from the Related Contacts section of the account:

Click the contact name to be taken to form pages for filling out a quote.

The other option to utilizing BackNine is directly through the BackNine portal. You can get the portal link clicking on Quote & Apply, and then click the blue button Launch Quote & Apply:
