About Lapsed Policy Reports
Lapsed Policy Reports help agents and agencies review policies that BOSS recently recorded or updated as lapsed.
What does the report include?
Each report includes:
- Policy number and a link to the case
- Insured
- Carrier and product
- Associated agent or agency
- Effective lapse date
- Date and time the lapse was reported to BOSS
How are policies selected?
Reports are based on when BOSS learned about or updated the lapse—not solely on the effective lapse date.
For example, if BOSS learns today that a policy lapsed three months ago, the policy will appear in the next report. The report will show:
- The original effective lapse date
- The date BOSS recorded the lapse
This ensures that late carrier updates are not missed.
A policy may appear again if its effective lapse date is later corrected.
Available frequencies
You can receive reports:
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Quarterly
- Semi-Annually
- Annually
Reports cover the most recently completed calendar period. An email is not sent when there are no newly reported or updated lapsed policies during that period.
How do I enable or change the report?
- Open the agent or agency in BOSS.
- Go to Email or Agency Email.
- Find the Compliance section.
- Select a Lapsed Policy Report Frequency.
Choose Off to disable the report.
The report is sent to the agent’s or agency’s account email address.
How do I unsubscribe?
Each Lapsed Policy Report email includes:
- A link to change the report frequency in BOSS
- An unsubscribe link
Unsubscribing sets the report frequency to Off. You can enable it again later from the Compliance section in BOSS.
