Access Report: Review Who Can Access Your BOSS Account

The Access Report is an optional email that helps you review BOSS access for your agent or agency account. Use it to confirm who can see your data, which accounts you can access, and whether those logins are being used.

This report is about advisor access (Provide Access), not a list of insurance cases or policies.

What’s in the report

Each Access Report email includes two sections:

  1. Who has access to your account — advisors that have been given access to your BOSS data
  2. Accounts you can access — other agent or agency accounts you can open in BOSS

For each advisor, the report shows:

  • Account — name, type (Agent or Agency), and email
  • Access — which areas they can use, such as Appointments, Cases, Contract Parties, Electronic Applications, Payments, Impaired Risk Quotes, Quotes, plus Hierarchy or Signer when those apply
  • Logins — user emails on that account, when each login was created, and the last sign-in date (or that they have never signed in)

If a section has no advisors, it shows None.

How access is granted

Access is managed in BOSS under Settings → Admin → Access → Provide Access.

The Access Report is a periodic snapshot of those connections. To change someone’s access, update the connection in Provide Access; the next report will reflect the change.

Turning the Access Report on or off

The Access Report is off by default.

  1. Open Settings for your agent or agency account.

  2. Go to the Email tab (agents) or Agency Email tab (agencies).

  3. Under Email Notifications, set Access Report to one of:

    • Monthly
    • Quarterly
    • Semi-Annually
    • Annually
    • Disabled

Unsubscribing

Every Access Report includes an unsubscribe link (and supports one-click unsubscribe from supported email clients).

Unsubscribing turns off only the Access Report. Your other email notification preferences are unchanged. You can turn the report back on later from Email Notifications.

Tips

  • Review Logins for accounts that have never signed in, or that you no longer recognize.
  • Confirm Access permissions match what you intended to share.
  • Use Provide Access when someone should no longer see your account, rather than waiting for the next report.
